    margins IE7

    REF: http://moderntimes.com/tmp/Picture%203.png

    I have a page that uses a background image. If I use a negative margin in the ID=wrapper, the page displays properly at the bottom margin in FF, Opera, and Safari. But as you can see in IE7 there's a thicker border at the bottom. I think is may have to do with the negative bottom margin. Any suggestions?

    The entire page can be viewed here: http://moderntimes.com/tmp/

    Thanks

    Hello michael180,
    http://moderntimes.com/tmp/bg.png is 954px high!
    Make that a 1px slice, repeat it y and change the following CSS:
    Code:
    #wrapper {
    width: 500px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    border: 10px solid #737f7f;
    text-align: left;
    background: url("white_back.gif");
    }
    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
    Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad
