    Anyone recognize this font?

I need to redo this old logo but cant find a font even close. Anyone know how to redo this in Photoshop? Just trying to make it black, but smooth again and not grainy.

That just looks like a standard Helvetica as Black Italic variant or something like that. Of course, there are a few modifications like narrower letter spacing and these lines on the second part of the logo.

If you don’t have the font and don’t want to buy it you can also use a vector program (such as Adobe Illustrator or Fireworks) to trace the letters yourself. The advantage is that you will have a vector logo right away.

When you do, please fix the kerning. It's ticking my OCD nodes! It is definitely helvetica neue black italic (96).

The lines are added after it's been skewed too beyond the normal slope on the vanilla font.

I know that I'm a bit late to this party, but if you're looking to figure out what font is being used, you can always try WhatTheFont.com...
