    Optimizing My Site's Speed

    Any ideas on how to speed up my site?

    It may just be my crappy university internet connection

    Here's the site.

    Chromes developer tools has resource tracking on it, so that may help.

    Take a report from http://analyze.websiteoptimization.c...gion/bts.html& and analyse it.

    One part of your site that loads slowly for me is the blue background, which you saved as a png image. Did you create this using Photoshop? And if so did you save as a png-8 or png-24?

    While the quality looks nice it will load more quickly if you save this in png-8 or gif and 256 colors. Also saving it as a background image will prevent it from "reloading" in this manner each time you click a link to another page. In your stylesheet you could add something to the body like:

    body {background-image: url(imagename.png);}

    Just a few ideas for you from a quick glance - perhaps you have already thought of these.
