    .svg curved path gradient

    I didn't know exactly where to put this, it's a xml service, but yet it's a web graphic.

    I'm making a .svg xml image for my site.
    I'm trying to figure out how to make a gradient to appear along a curved path in this image: http://blahertech.dnsalias.net/_dev/images/bottem.svg

    I want the same gradient used in http://blahertech.dnsalias.net/_dev/images/left.svg which is:
               <linearGradient id="sidegrad" x1="0%" y1="0%" x2="100%" y2="0%">
                   <stop offset="0%" style="stop-color:rgb(67,82,94); stop-opacity:0;" />
                   <stop offset="100%" style="stop-color:rgb(67,82,94); stop-opacity:1;" />
    but since this is along a curved path polygon, I have no idea how to make the gradient appear evenly along that cure and still show up straight through the straight line. My best guess is using a radial, but I don't know what it is or how I use it.
