    (i)frame or something else

hi i've never used frames, and don't really know if they're good for what i need done. i'd like to put a flash media player on my blog, but so that it doesn't load along with every new page. i need a solution that will allow the player to play continuosly, while being able to open a different page.
concrete example: player is in header, when person opens new page, header does NOT reload.
this needs to work in IE. i actually don't think frames will work because they scroll seperately (they follow the scroll of the main content). is this even possible? thanks guys

Solved: lol it took me about five minutes reading w3c's html tutorial. if i make the border 0, and no resize, there's no problem.
