    Internet Explorer Browser Compability (Safari vs. IE)

    Hello,

    Can anyone in this forum help me out with the compability of this site http://www.evaharlou.dk

    it works on PC (internet explorer), but if i open the site on a MAC (safari or internet explorer) the tables and cells look completely wrong.

    the site was created in frontpage 2002

    help would be appreciated ...

    Well the problem is probably steming from the fact that the frameset and the main frame have several coding errors in them which causing the browser to know what is going on. The only reason IE on Windows is even remotely working is that it doesn't follow very many standards and is incredibly forgiving.

    For example on the content frame you have a closing body tag right after the opening one and before all the content. That is incorrect, it should go right before the closing html tag.

    You might want to also start by putting a doctype on your page: http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=18346 HTML 4.01 is probably what you want to use.

    I'd also suggest making the height of the content area larger if you still want the black area on the top and bottom. As it is now, it is kind of small.
