Question What would u recommend 4 good web hosting?

    Hello,
I’m looking for a reliable yet not too expensive web hosting site, something under $100 a year, what are YOU using, any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Nat

    Re: hosting?

Well, what are your needs? I use godaddy for one of my sites and a friends hosting for something else. But, Godaddy meets my needs.

well it depends what kind of website u have? personal or business website? Selling things on it?

If it's a personal website or business website where ur just showcasing ur products and ways to contact u and have forums, photo galleries etc then u only need a shared server. I use:

    www.hostmywebsitenow.com

click on "web hosting" then "hosting plans". Ur very lucky, cuz they just doubled their storage and bandwidth.i've had a personal website with them for 4 months now and have had no problems. hope this helps u out

    this beats ANYTHING else,
    http://search.ebay.co.uk/web-hosting_W0QQfkrZ1QQfromZR8
for as low as 1-9 pounds a YEAR, you can find web hosting for UNLIMITED bandwidth, space, domains, subdomains ETC ETC ETC lol. i recently bought one of them for 1 pound a year, and it is perfectly safe. also i can assure you that the offers from "centrica" hosting are safe and legit, since my friend hosts his sites with their unlimited reseller hosting- 5.95 pounds a year. can't beat that

Ebay definately wins for value. But I've used www.streamline.net and www.lwdinternet.co.uk I'm a little annoyed with LWD as they offer 100% uptime, and my site has been down all day, and has only just come back up. They did apologise though, but I won't be getting hosting with them anymore.

This is the best value I have found. They have a heap of free stuff and they have great support. I do NOT work for these guys but I have not found better value. www.101sitehosting.com

With my webpage I have had questions that really is outside what I think a normal provider would normally assist with, but these guys do. They have a live online help system which is good as well.

I first hosted with Microsoft - tech support is good and server speed and reliability are great but it is expesive. 200 MB disk space for about $11/month. Then, I moved to Yahoo, tech support is not that great and server speed and reliability are great. I get 5 GB for the disk space for about the same price. Now I am investigating Godady. It seems like the disk space there is less expensive but not sure about tech support and server speed and reliability. Can Anybody who is wit Godady share your unbiased experience. My needs are non comercial website and forum (phpBB). You all know how painfull it is whenever you change your webserver and not to memtion about lossing some of our site visitors during the backout so I don't want to move if it does not really make a big different. I really want to hear from those who host with Godady, especially we have a forum website with them so please share.

I host one site with crisphosting.net but I would not recommend them.
My other site is hosted with evohosting.co.uk. I would certainly recommend them, however, they're still making the change to php5. The support is very, very fast.
    Hope this helps,

Heck, I say download Abyss Web Server (which is free) and host it yourself! It will use an IP address as your domain name, but to fix that just purchase a domain name and have it redirect to your IP site. Cheap, easy and awsome, (you have to have a constant internet connection to host it though).

Errr, also it's a bit (well a lot) of a security risk.
