    Need Some Help.

First off, I'm not sure if this is the right spot to post this but..

I have a web development idea that I would like to ask a couple of questions about.

Basically my development idea is a Boat Opinion site. There are very few, if any, on the web today. I figured the easiest way to go about this would be using a blogging system where people could submit their review or opinion on a certain boat.

The site would consist of Categories for everyboat maker, and within those categories would be everyboat that that boat maker makes. Then people could choose the boat that they would want to write a review on and submit it. I know I can't really explain this good, so if you don't understand anything then just ask me to post some more info. Below is a list of questions I have.

    - Would a Blog be the easiest? I know they aren't meant for this kind of thing but could it be used?

    - Is there any codes, scripts, or software that is better suited for giving reviews and/or opinions on a site?

    - If you have any suggestions on how I should go about this then please tell me!

    Thanks for your time.

I really like the way that the review portion works on Amazon.com

I found this PHP/MySQL script that is very similar:
    http://www.review-script.com/

    It's not free ($50).

Perhaps there are free ones, I haven't found any yet that work really nice.

You really should use PHP/MySQL ... or at least MySQL.

With the amazon.com type review, you need to be a member (which is free).
You should have the same thing on your site. Check it out.
