    Question Cheking Flash and Quicktime

    hey

    im building a site and was just wondering how do i go about checking for flash and quicktime plugins on my splash screen, and letting the user know if they have it or not?

    any help would be greatly appricted

    Macromedia and Apple both do the same thing, and I think it's about the best way to do it without getting into javascript. They simply make a movie using thier plugin, embed it, and it says, "If you can see this, then you have flash/quicktime installed." Makes sense to me.
