So many factors are responsible for ranking keywords in search engine, among them bounce rate is also one. Low bounce rate will be helpful for higher ranking keywords on search engine.

It does not affect your organic performance to the degree you'd think. If it did, we'd all rank poorly in search. The majority of websites, outside of e-commerce websites typically see higher bounce rates. It's normal and expected. I manage a 2000+ page corporate website for a large US company. We see bounce rates between 40-60% (normal for lead-gen sites) but perform extremely well in search. And, this is with a slew of competitors in the marketplace competing along side us.

There is no relation between bounce rate and website ranking. Not only bounce rate is considered for ranking factor but they're more to see.

Yes, Ranking is affected when Bounce Rate increases, If too many visitors visit your webpage and close the page or move to the another website, it is not good for your website's reputation. The reason for this could be any of the following -

    1) Irrelevant Content
    2) Poor quality of content
    3) Designing is not appropriate
    4) Ranking for non-relevant keywords
    5) Webpages take significant time for loading

If Your Bounce rate is 70 to 80 percent than its chance to penalized by Google panda or penguin. Try to make 40 to 60 percent bounce rate to get decent ranking for your website.

    Best of luck!!!!!!

This is not good from SEO point of view , bounce rate is increases if your website loading time is high so overcome this loading time problem Because if your website getting more time for loading , people is closed your before loading this type of situation increase the bounce rate of any website..

Decreasing a site’s bounce rate can be difficult sometimes and effortless other times. Each website is different. E-commerce sites differ from blogs and service related sites. My theories on bounce rate suggest that bounce rate is most likely calculated differently for each type of site also.

I have several websites and I noticed google uses "bounce rate" and "time on site" info to rank the sites. I think there's only one way to reduce the bounce rate, which is try to improve your site content, make it more engaging.

Bounce rate may affect your site's ranking. How? Search engines specially Google intent is to provide visitors accurate and relevant information as possible. Bounce rate happens when a visitor didn't find what he's looking for on your website. And when your bounce rate increases, the tendency is that search engines like Google will take note of it and obviously lower your site's ranking.
