    Help A Noob!

    Hey everyone, I was hoping someone could help me out! I am trying to make a transparent banner on my home page. One that either fades away once clicked or is just transparent. Here is the home page:

    Click Here

    As you can see, its a map! Also here is the code

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html lang="en">
      <head>
        <meta charset="utf-8">
        <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">
        <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
        <meta name="description" content="">
        <meta name="author" content="">
        <link rel="shortcut icon" href="ico/favicon.png">
        <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Oswald:400,300,700' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>
          <meta name='viewport' content='width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0, user-scalable=no' />
        <!--

        <link href='//api.tiles.mapbox.com/mapbox.js/v1.6.0-beta0/mapbox.css' rel='stylesheet' />

        <style>
            body { margin:0; padding:0; }
            #map { position:absolute; top:0; bottom:0; width:100%; }
        </style>

        <link href="css/bootstrap.css" rel="stylesheet">

        <!-- Custom styles for this template -->
        <link href="connectiveme.css" rel="stylesheet">

        <![endif]-->

    	    <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.min.js"></script>
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    I don't understand the question.

    Would you rather just have the map NOT appear?

    It's an interactive map, so of course people will click on it, and it will disappear?
    That's what I don't understand.
    How frustrating would that be?

    ... and

    You're just showing us the header. There's a lot more HTML than just the header.

    Viewing the HTML source code, I see this one your main page:
    Code:
        <div class="container" id="mapo">

          <div class="connectiveme">

            <!--// MAP //-->
            <div id='map'></div>

              <script>

                // Visit https://www.mapbox.com/mapbox.js/overview/ for documentation and examples
                var map = L.mapbox.map('map', 'ericpark.gb6l4gce', {

        closeButton: true
    })
                  .setView([33.690, -117.655], 5);
              </script>
            </div>

        </div><!-- /.container -->
    I'm wondering why your map is not contained within the map div .... <div id='map'></div>

    Are you experienced enough to edit the HTML or PHP involved in your website?

    Just out of curiousity, what happens if you do this:
    Code:
        <div class="container" id="mapo">

          <div class="connectiveme">

            <!--// MAP //-->
            <div id='map'>
              <script>
                // Visit https://www.mapbox.com/mapbox.js/overview/ for documentation and examples
                var map = L.mapbox.map('map', 'ericpark.gb6l4gce', {
        closeButton: true
    })
                  .setView([33.690, -117.655], 5);
              </script>
            </div><!-- /.map -->

          </div><!-- /.connectiveme -->

        </div><!-- /.container -->
    Maybe the map div ID has some properties in it that alter how it looks?
