    Help stop spinning circle PLEASE

    Hi
    I know this may be confusing but,
    I am trying to get my dads webpage running. have been trying to figure out why his domain leads u to the index page ok but the page load indicator spins non stop, till I.E.

    the domain is with Netfirms.

    albertamarriage.com

    the web page (now one page "under construction") is on his Telus.net personal webspace.

    http://www3.telus.net/randolph/

    or http://www3.telus.net/public/a3291962 they both do the same.

    netfirms source is as follows...

    <html><HEAD>

    </HEAD><FRAMESET border='0' ROWS='*,1'> <FRAME SRC='http://www3.telus.net/randolph/'><FRAME SRC='blank.html'> </FRAMESET> </html

    the source for the index.html page currently is....

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN"
    "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Under Construction</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <p>This page is under construction. Please come back soon! or phone Randolph @ 403 329-1962</p>
    </body>
    </html>

    can anyone see why this is in a non stop loading loop, please

    Im a beginner with html so as English as possible please

    Using the Net panel in my developer tools (Firebug) it shows that it’s constantly reloading the page. Obviously there is some endless loop. Looking at the source code I see there is a frame that loads a page called “blank.html”. This page itself appears to load or redirect to the index page. If I save the page as complete website I get a deeply nested directory structure with repeating content (i. e. an index file and a folder containing blank.html and a folder containing blank.html and a folder containing …).

    Also, whatever file name I type into the address bar (e. g. http://albertamarriage.com/abcdef.html), it always redirects to the index page. So, there is obviously some redirection that screws things up.

    thanks for the input, I took another pointer from a totally different site on a different server and used it with the same results.
    im thinking the frame code from the redirect is the issue. like its the fault of netfirms.com redirect.

    What is the purpose of <frame> ...
    I don't think anyone uses that anymore, do they?

    A “frameset redirect” is usually done to hide the actual URL in the address bar. I know it primarily being done with cheap hosting plans that don’t include a domain or something like that, to make amateur sites seem more professional. In the current case when you go to albertamarriage.com it actually loads http://www3.telus.net/randolph/ but still shows albertamarriage.com in the address bar.
