doh!, I thought for a second that was a photo of me on your main page.

    seriously,
I think this: Join now! is the problem.

It makes people think that they have to join/register to your website. That becomes intimidating to users. Change it to: Get Our Newsletter!

You might want to add that people can get your newsletter via email and can unsubscribe at any time.

If you have any skills on customizing WordPress, you can do some graphic things in the sidebar as well. Google: "get our newsletter", and then view the image results. That will give you some ideas to make it "strike".

I want the words of ''Get Our Newsletter'' another font and color.
Or can't you do this in wordpress?

In the directory, wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/ there is a file called "style.css".

You have to open that file and edit the properties for the widget title.

This is the part you're looking for in that CSS stylesheet:
    h3 class="widget-title"

You'll see where they specify font, font-size, color, etc.
That will change the look for ALL of your widget titles.
To change only the one title, you would need to edit other things.

However you do custom changes, you'll have to learn CSS, HTML, PHP and know how to edit the files. If you don't have experience with any of that, you'll have to learn by using Google to find tutorials, or hire someone. To make a great website using WP, you will always need to do customizing of the theme.

You should really be using "child-themes", but that is a discussion for a different time.

If you make changes to "twentyeleven" theme, and you update WP revision, it might overwrite your theme files, and all of your custom changes will be lost. That is the reason for using "child-themes". That is also the reason you may want to change the name of your theme directory to something else ... not the WP default.
