    Pros and Cons?

I was just wondering if there are any pros and cons hosting a website from your IP using appserver?

    CON:
You need a dedicated connection to an ISP (internet service provider).
Not all ISP's allow that, unless you pay for it. By dedicated, I mean you
have a "static" IP, not the typical "dynamic" IP that is normally used.

    PRO:
You are in control of your own server, your own security, and are able to
connect your websites to physical things, like external hardware in your
house or business. It's a great learning experience, and I suppose it's fun
to do (although I've never tried it).

I would consider that also a con. It means you have to keep the machine up to date with security fixes and if something breaks you have to fix it.
