SEO - Google not crawling site for nearly a week

    Hi guys,

my domain is in my signature, can anyone think why its taking Google ages to crawl my site, it says last crawl was Sunday (I last posted Friday) and the post from Friday is still very much not on Google.

Normally it would appear much quicker than this (within a day or so, maximum) I do have 2 domains the base one is udjamaflip.com and andysharman.net which is an alias of udjamaflip.com. Should I be doing something to let Google know this?

    Hope someone can help!

Some time Google will take 7 days to 30 days based on your update frequency.

    Hi,

I see you are posting the same content on two separate domains with separate hosting folders. I'm not sure if its a good approach, but you can just forward one of them to the other using a 301 redirect.

I heard that google penalizes for content duplication, which might be the reason for your site's invisibility in Google.

Also, If you are using WP then you can use a XML sitemap generator that automatically pings google everytime your site has been updated!

write one or more two paragraph concern with your business and add it to your site. after adding doing bookmarking in some site. this may crawl your site just in 2 to 3 days.

    Hello,

Use GWT (Google Webmaster Tools) and a sitemap. You can ping your site after you updated your site.
Also do some backlink building from social bookmarks.

    Hi,
    Andrew,

There few basic things that you have to keep in mind to optimize the site. The first on is to provide a content that people are desperately searching for. Do you have such content on your site? Next it important to optimize the site by proper use of keywords or key phrases in the title and content. Make it sure that your title and content are highly relevant to each other. The point is to invite the engine to the site by providing a attractive title and luring it into the content and ensuring that it moves through the content easily. Make sure that your site is attractive and navigable to engine, and attracts people to site by offering them some thing unique. If you foillow this golden rule mind me you will be top on the Google rankings.

I think keeping on page contents fresh would be most important for search engine crawling purpose. Of course, backlinks from high PR sites would also help in crawling.

    Have a nice day,
