    valign & Opera

    I have no idea whether anyone knows of this, and searches have returned absolutely nothing.

    So, when I use the valign attribute, it does not seem to have any affect whatsoever in Opera, so do any of you guys know what I should do?

    e.g.

    Code:
    <td width="40%" height="27" valign="middle" align="center">
    The valign attribute is the only one that has no affect whatsoever - the rest seem to work fine.

    I have also tried style attributes, e.g.

    Code:
    <td style="vertical-align: middle; text-align: center;">

    Thank you in advance,

    Ionsurge.

    I reported that one a while ago and it was fixed (unless it's recurred, which is possible).

    Are you using the latest build?

    btw, I am trying to get : www.ionsurge.com/services centered in the middle of the page... ignore what is on the swf file though.

    That may help you... I think.

    It's not Opera specific - I see the same thing in Phoenix.

    What's happening is that it *is* in the middle of the table - but the table isn't as high as the window. There is no such attribute as "height" for table, and this is probably why it isn't working as you expect in standards-compliant browsers.

    CSS would be better - ditch the table entirely, and use CSS to align it with respect to the body.
