Installing a blog - please help.

I have just opened a new domain:

I want to have several different blogs in different directories.

    The first one is Rowing
so it is found at :http://www.blog-start.com/rowing/index.php

I have only put in basic index pages so far.

My website control panel has fantastico, so I can install Wordpress.

My question is: do I need to put (install) a copy of word in EACH directory ?
So if I have fifteen different blogs do I need 15 installations ?

Does Blogger.com have a million copies on their server ?

If you have experience of this please advise as I am a bit of a newbie

Why must you use different blogs? Why not different categories in one blog? It's basically the same thing.

I wonder the same thing, but maybe you are hosting them for different people?

Yes, you need to have a complete installation for each, and that includes a
unique MySQL account for each. That's a ton of disk storage and bandwidth.
Make sure your webhosting limits meet the requirements.

People should note that for a mere $35 per year (yes, that's about $2.50 per month),
you can have your own website and your own domain name with WordPress installed
free and automatically using Fantastico. That webhost is: www.cleverdot.com

There are other cheap hosts out there too.

If you're doing a thing where you offer blogs for many people, consider giving each
person their own webhost account, not their own directory. It's so cheap.
