    Google Ads Question

I was wondering if anyone here knows how much money on average is made from Google Ads?

It depends on the ads that are displayed. The advertisers pay X and Google deducts Y leaving you with Z.

Depending on what topic your page covers the advertisers could be offering anything between 1 cent and many dollars. It all depends on what competition there is in that ad market and how much the advertiser can afford to pay.

That's probably as close to answering your question as the forum rules allow.

It depends on the type of google ad. I was curious about this about a year ago and create a google account to find out the possibilities.

You have your basic text adds, then your image adds, and also some video ones.

All are based off of per click.

I tested the basic text ads and you get around 3-5 cents per click. I believe this increases a little if they are the image or more than that if they are video ads.

The way it works however is that before you receive any money you have to reach $100 within a certain time frame or you loose your money. (they aren't going to send out checks for one click equaling 3 cents).

So the basic drive is volume. The more traffic you get on your site the better chance one of them will click an ad. I know 3 pennies doesn't sound like much but a site with millions of visitors (Yahoo, Myspace) can easily rack up tens of thousands a day.

Realistically you MIGHT earn enough to pay your website costs if your lucky.

If you go to Yahoo Overture, you are able to research the market value of search terms as well as how many users searched those terms for the previous month. It will assist you in finding a term that relates to your product, has a low auction price and has not been discovered by other webmaster who are selling similar products or services.

Also there are many techniques to make money with adsense. Usually you get paid pew cents up to few dollars per click however certain ads in hot niches like inscurance for example you can earn a lot more per click.
