    Hello...

How this site able to connect google, yahoo, msn and aim?

Is it a joint venture by all of the above?

But yahoo have just announced its browser version of messenger, and meebo have been giving this service for a long.

    regards,

It's not a joint venture, those services have simply given their permission for meebo to connect to them (it's in their interest, after all).

This isn't unusual - look at Trillian, which has been combining multiple messenger services into one package for years.

I was just on the meebo site. Have either of you used it? I'm not much for chatting online, but I thought it might be interesting to put it on my blog.

    Thanks Pennimus,

I thought so. But why they are promoting another website? (may not be a fair question ) instead of giving this service on their website by ignoring their profits through ads n others.

    Nope

They're not promoting meebo - meebo is promoting them.
From a marketing perspective, syndicating content, tools and apps is almost always a good idea because other people then do the leg work for you.

I'm not sure why the service isn't offered direct from Google, Yahoo et al. Perhaps they don't have the resource to put behind a direct marketing campaign. Perhaps it already is offered but we can't find it.
