    Hi,

How can I compress JPEG-files without diminishing the quality of the pics?

Well, this is an artform in itself. The trick is to reduce the colors so it's almost the same as the original.
Zoobie or not Zoobie...That is the problem.

Check this online tool out, it's pretty darn good:

Ignore the name, it works with .jpg files too.

JPEG is a lossy file format, so you will always get some deteriation in image quality once you start using compression. Most of the good graphics editors have facilities that show an uncompressed version and one at the chosen compression state, for comparison.

Really, it's just a matter of deciding whether quality is most important or whether download times (filesize) is of most import.
