Google asks: Do you want to run Gmail twice as fast?

    Then use Firefox or Chrome.
Google has taken a more aggressive approach to moving users away from Internet Explorer, recommending that Gmail users install Firefox or Chrome if they want to see Gmail run "an average of twice as fast."

I don't believe that Microsoft do nothing as self defensive.

Perhaps we need a subforum for all of these threads started to persuade people to drop IE?

Of course Google will try to support its products best through Chrome...no surprise.

Educated questions often get educated answers, and simple questions often get simple answers.

Upon loading Hotmail (a Windows service) a while back, there used to be a prompt saying something like. "To view hotmail the best please get one of the following browsers", and there was a choice of a few. Even Firefox! I have just checked and they seem to have removed it.

The fact that I was using one of the suggested browsers was not the point . For some reason it didn't think I was using Firefox. However I'm not complaining, Microsoft seem to be lightening up.

Google have ruined it! Google have turned Microsoft evil again!

Running applications on the desktop/notebook, from the web, x86 code securely. Firefox has a related product.
