sad this used to be high traffic and a really good spot especially for newbies- I feel it is/was less harsh to people finding their way than some of the more popular sites

    I code C hash-tag .Net
    Reference: W3C W3CWiki .Net Lib
    Validate: html CSS
    Debug: Chrome FireFox IE

Yes that is very sad, i thought something was different lately. I took some time away due to medical challenges and when i came back i felt it. Funny how you can feel the difference on a board in very little time.

Spookster love the spy vrs spy image, dang that brings back memories. Im gonna have to hit youtube now and watch a few lol....

    Is WA no longer involved?

All the code given in this post has been tested and is intended to address the question asked.
Unless stated otherwise it is not just a demonstration.

Really, Philip? I thought you of all regular members would be the one to know there has been a change of owners? And yes, WA – although initially stating he would check in every once in a while – is not involved in the operation and development of this forum anymore. The not-so-new-anymore owners, MASMedia, are more interested in ad revenue than a healthy community.

This is a slightly skewed sentiment to have... If your community plummets, as does your traffic, as does your ad rev... Dur?

Pretty much makes me sick to my stomach that such a one time WONDERFUL community has been prostituted for revenue purposes. I have praised this community for a long time to people, have been so proud to be part of this community and what i thought it was about. There are some very talented and wonderful people that share this community, more than any other coding community i have been a part of, at one time much better than overflow could ever be. I like others used to spend hours and hours here helping people and learning myself in the process. This is just a sad sad state of affairs and i wish this community could somehow return to its roots, take away the advertisements, take away the fancy logo, put the logo with the strand of "hair" back up that drove me crazy lol... and just continue its mission to help people.

I suppose this is not the first time corp money makers have taken something great and ran it into the ground to make a quick profit and then let it die a painful long death afterwards, and it probably wont be the last. It just sucks big time is all, and not much we can do about it and that sucks more.

Yes, I am well aware that the forum has changed ownership. But sometimes new owners (especially those interested mainly in money) leave the old management in place.

Presumably WA preferred money to Coding Forums when he got the opportunity to sell.

I'm not aware of the exact details of the deal, but I would imagine WA simply preferred to have a burden of of their plate. It seemed like WA just didn't have time to spend on this project anymore, so it made sense to sell.

Yes, that’s kind of what he told me.
