Changes coming to CF in the near future

    Hi Everyone,

Today we got word that the site is going to under go some changes in the near future. The site's forum software is going to be bumped to the next major version. The owners are also refreshing the look of the site. These changes will be happening the next couple weeks.

Fou-Lu or myself will post when we get more specifics on timelines.

    I am getting. . . ANSI.

    PHP Code:
    header('HTTP/1.1 420 Enhance Your Calm');
Been gone for a few months, and haven't programmed in that long of a time. Meh, I'll wing it ;)

New version of the software as well.
I haven't gotten official word that we're all AOK yet, but being open for postings is a pretty good sign.

Are there skins for the new forum? This green is hurtful upon my eyes.

I'm with sunfighter, green may not be my first choice.

    I have a few questions...
    Are our badges gone?
What does the "like" link do?
    Is the "Thanks" system gone?

    /...edit:
I find I don't like having to hover over a username to see if that person is online.

Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad

Definitely just the one theme for now. I'll ask if we can have the default theme enabled as well (there's a similar one to this with a blue, but its a little more pleasing to the eyes IMO).
Badges are gone currently, we mentioned as well prior to the rollout. They are still stored in the system, but they are not currently visible. I believe they are working on that as well (that was custom).
I forgot about the thanks system entirely. I'll check if that can be enabled or if an addon can be added if its available.

You can see online status next to the name as well. The little green dot is online, while just the outline is offline. I myself preferred the older ones which were a bit larger as well.
