    Weirdness with ads on this site.

    Has anyone else had this site jump to full screen banner ads. It happens more than 50% of the time in Firefox and Safari for the Mac and I had it happen a bunch of times with IE7 and Firefox on a windows 7 and an XP machine. It makes it nearly impossible to get to the boards. I think the script that's calling up the ads is a little wonky. The only reliable way for me to stay on the site and not be re-directed to a blank page with one of the banner ads is to hit the escape key before the page fully loads.

    I don't know why this is in the PHP forum. That would be a JS issue, not a PHP one, but since its for the forum itself this belongs in the feedback.
    PHP Code:
    header('HTTP/1.1 420 Enhance Your Calm');
    Been gone for a few months, and haven't programmed in that long of a time. Meh, I'll wing it ;)

    And who’s responding to that issue now?

    I think it’s about time someone from MAS Media shows up here for some explanations and background. The numerous complaints about advertisements here lately are a real confession of failure for the recent development of this site.

    Last time I asked about it they said it wasn't intentional and it would be fixed. I run with adblock all the time so I don't see them. However if they are back, I'll send an email about it because I agree it is really annoying.

    I asked about the full screen ads and it is being looked into. When you see them, is it when you are logged into the site?

    One of you Mods may add a sticky note on all sub-forums to insist everyone to use Adblock Plus while using this site

    Well I'm still grumbling too. I've not submitted a request for my account to be deleted because quite grankly, coming to codingforums.com and having my CPU cycles stolen has become a misery.

    I will be returning to sitepoint in due course.
    I can't really think of anything to write here now...
