    Posting problem

    Hi,

I have been looking at some threads that I had previously posted in. When viewing a forum it says that 4 threads have had new posts in there since I posted, but when I view the threads, my post is the last one there!

    Any ideas?

I guess that last post was spam and was removed.

That actually looks like a it is a bug or a configuration issue in the forum software. If the post was removed/moved to a private deleted folder or soft deleted in place, the thread should go back to its previous state.

There is a current list of posts by hhok2008 that show up under the "Last Post" column, but when viewing the thread they don't appear. This is actually the first time I have seen this occur with a forum using VB. Perhaps those posts were attempting to exploit some bug in the script that is causing them to still show up in the counts and the Last Post list.
If you are learning PHP, developing PHP code, or debugging PHP code, do yourself a favor and check your web server log for errors and/or turn on full PHP error reporting in php.ini or in a .htaccess file to get PHP to help you.

WA has mentioned why this happens before. I think the last post part is a table of its own in the database and a cron job runs or something to get rid of them so when you delete spam it doesn't update that part because the cron job hasn't been ran yet.
