    changing link in flash

    Hi! I know nothing about flash but need something changed and can't get through to the person who created the flash.
    I downloaded flash 8 and have the fla file --
    can someone tell me how I change the link the flash is going to and then just remake the flash animation. (to swf)

    Can you some how link us to the fla file? It would be easier for us to help you then.

    I have it locally -- I just want to know where in flash 8 I find the properties to change the link url the flash goes to.

    In the actionscript panel. There isn't just ONE particular section it would be. Look for a getURL function. If you go to the windows menu in flash look for actionscript, the panel will show up, you will then need to search for the getURL function. If you have no idea what I'm talking about then upload it somewhere (its not that hard) and allow us to see it so we can help you better. This flash, is it like a splash page meaning once its done playing it redirects to another page? If so check the last frame for the getURL function.

    eg.

    Simply open
    getURL("www.yourdomain.com","_blank or _parent");

    Simply open and post data to sever

    getURL("www.yourdomain.com","_blank or _parent","POST or GET");
