    Beginner To Actionscript/Flash programming

Ok, So I am going to use Macromedia Flash I think, because it seems good for making a 2d multiplayer game which I am aiming to get too.
I have never programmed in any language, I just have seen code in flash, but I have never really programmed in it.
Like I said I am trying to start small in flash, and when I get better I am going to try to make a multiplayer online game.

Can anybody give me some advice or some basic tutorials?
    Thanks.

Thanks, I used the tutorials, but.. I just still don't really get alot of things.
I just like need one big guide that starts me from beginner and tells me everything I need to know about flash.
    Should I buy a book?
If so, can you name the best book I should get?

You should buy a book. I don't have a specific title, but look at amazon, barnes and nobles, borders, or where ever you like to buy books and judge by the reviews. Books will teach you infinitely better because they will have a course laid out so you learn things in an order that makes sense, rather than by finding random tutorials (how I learned...I have some major holes in my knowledge from it).

    Things it should have:

Learn about Actionscript version 3 (version 3 is OOP and more powerful than version 2)
A good index and reference (invaluable later when you program and can't recall syntax)
Printed (its good to read away from the computer for focus)
Should start with the basics (don't start with a game design book)
Should cover Actionscript and not another language (some books cover how to integrate PHP and Flash, etc)

I don't know what other skills you have, but start with a book that hits the basics for a few months. Use it. Use it. Use it.

Then you can upgrade to another book once you've worked through the first one, or might not even need a book to advance if you are a programming minded person.
