    Manipulating a preexisting google map

    So I'm relatively new to javascript and using api's so please forgive me if this seems like an obvious question. I have a google map that I already can embed into an html by adding a frame.
    Code:
     <iframe width="500" height="300" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="https://www.google.com/fusiontables/embedviz?q=select+col5+from+1QlQxBF17RR-89NCYeBmw4kFzOT3mLENp60xXAJM&amp;viz=MAP&amp;h=false&amp;lat=35.14631675560907&amp;lng=-117.19375351123037&amp;t=1&amp;z=9&amp;l=col5"></iframe>
    Here's the thing. I understand how to manipulate a map that I create on my own but how would I manipulate this map. This map has already created borders that I just want to add onto. I basically want to create markers on certain locations within the map.

    As I am still new to javascript and api's, I'm not exactly sure how I should go along this process. Could someone please at least explain to me the process. An example would be amazing as well if possible.

    This works. Play with the top/left in #inside CSS to move map

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Title of the document</title>
    <style type="text/css">
    #outside{
    	width:500px;
    	height:300px;
    	position:relative;
    	overflow:hidden;
    }
    #inside{
    	position:absolute;
    	top:-400px;
    	left:-300px;
    	width:1280px;
    	height:1200px;
    }
    </style>
    </head>

    <body>

    <div id="outside">
    <iframe id="inside" width="500" height="300" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="https://www.google.com/fusiontables/embedviz?q=select+col5+from+1QlQxBF17RR-89NCYeBmw4kFzOT3mLENp60xXAJM&amp;viz=MAP&amp;h=false&amp;lat=35.14631675560907&amp;lng=-117.19375351123037&amp;t=1&amp;z=9&amp;l=col5"></iframe>
    </div>
    </body>
    </html>
