well whatever you do avoid the netgear SC101
'Storage Central' my **** , requires software (on each device that wants to access it) to setup a virtual port (& being netgear no *nix support of course)
I want a NAS unit as well, but it does seem cheaper (if less pretty) to thow up a cheap linux box with those old bits you probably have lying around and stick $flavour_of_choice+samba , processing power is not really important though onboard raid would be nice as well.
MVC is the current buzz in web application architectures. It comes from event-driven desktop application design and doesn't fit into web application design very well. But luckily nobody really knows what MVC means, so we can call our presentation layer separation mechanism MVC and move on. (Rasmus Lerdorf)
