PHP Tip: If you want to use short tags (<? or <?=$var) then make sure short_open_tag is set to "1". It really helps.

Just make sure you understand the differences in the EULA's for academically priced software. Typically the biggest thing is that you cannot use the software purchased at an academic price for any sort of commercial application, it's educational use only.

Yeh I know that, I've been looking for a copy of XP Pro to replace my copy which doesnt have a COA. I dont really want to spend loads on a full licence, so thought a Academic licence would be good as the machine Im planning to install it on I would use mainly for school work

If you're in school, find out if the school has some sort of agreement with academic software providers...I'm in college, and was able to get several free software packages through MSDNAA, including Visual Studio.NET and Windows XP Pro...

    Might be worth asking about...

Yeh I am still in school, so I'll ask the techies at school about that. However, I dont think the will supply me with any free software, but they have special academic dealings with Simply computers/Misco as it is now, so I'll ask.
