Change the way my GPU is positioned

This will probably sound a little bit weird . Currently my GPU slots into my motherboard making a T shape, is there anything i could get so could make it sit parrallel to it making it take up less space?

Okay thanks, that would be ideal if i could find that! ill hit up google see what i can find . I guess they dont make and external adapter for a PCI card do they? Cause that would work too.

EDIT: I found this site http://www.soarland.com/PCI_PCI-E_Ri...atalog-54.html i think one of those would work . Would you be able to give me a bit of help choosing the one i need? This is my motherboard http://www.nvidia.com/object/product...0i_sli_us.html but im not sure which one id need to buy >.<. At a guess id say this http://www.soarland.com/Flexible_Sin...oduct-250.html but im not sure at all.

    ohh a riser card duh!

youll want a rigid one else how are you going to secure the gpu.

also have you thought about how your going to attach your video cables once you do this?

Well tbh i've not properly planned anything yet, but my general idea is

    1) Recently saw a picture of metal desk about 20-30cm deep (justa guess) with a glass top, and the guy had fit all the pc parts in there and used that rather than a tower.

    2) I have an old pc i dont use any more .

So i was gonna mess about see if i could do something similar to that because it looked cool . Reason i linked to the no solid one is because that would place my GPU directly where my sound card currently is (might have to move that too i dunno yet though).

But it's currently just a plan, before i guy everything ill have to plan it out see what fits/if everything would fit. Did i link to the correct one i'd need?

ohh yeah Ive seen those setups before. in that case a flxible cable may be in order. another thign to consider is how you plan on mounting the hardware and ensuring to protect it from static discharge and so forth. there are computer "mod" sites that may ahve something prebuilt that may help with presentation

also the other consideration is of course cooling.
