    Any RSVP programs out there?

    I am making a RSVP list by hand and it's taking forever. Is there any free software out there for this that can put the names in ABC order and that I can customize with 4 columns?

    It'd be easy to code a script and use a database, but I don't know how to export into excel.

    what server side lang are you using- What does your "RSVP" list look like and what does it entail? you should be able to do an array.sort (if you can get everything in an array) and if you are working with data from DB there are many ways to handle that as well-

    Right now I am using OpenOffice which is very similar to Microsoft Word.
    But it won't do as I need it to do.

    I need 4 columns for the following.

    Name
    Business
    Name Badge
    Arrived

    As I enter the information for the first three boxes, I need to sort it by names.

    are you going to use a database and make life insanely simple or are you going to use excel (slightly more complicated)- what is your serverside language?

    Yes I can use a mysql database, I do PHP. I can make the table columns, and information. But hey I just thought about something. Would this work?

    PHP Code:
    $name mysql_query("SELECT name FROM nametable ORDER BY DESC");
    $business mysql_query("SELECT business FROM businesstable");

    <
    table>
    <
    tr><td>
    while (
    $row mysql_fetch_array($name)) {
    ".$row['name']."<hr />
    }
    </
    td><td>
    while (
    $row mysql_fetch_array($business)) {
    ".$row['business']."<hr />
    }
    </
    td></tr></table
    Now while that adds a line between each record, how would I add padding to each TD tag & table, so that it looks like boxes?

    the thought methodology there I assume is correct- personally I do not know- I am a C#.net guy... I would have one table (dbo.tbl_users [Name],[Business],[NameBadge],[Arrived]) and I would do a select * order by [name] desc|asc and then populate a grid- or an array or whatever... I think this falls into the realm of php at this point though- I think you are on the right track
