Not familiar with it, I've try different antivirus like Norton but it does not work well for me. Another is AVG and it works great for me I've been using it for about 3 years but it eventually expires. Now I'm using ESET nod32 and like AVG it works good I've been using this for almost 3 years now.

Norton and McAfee are probably the worst ones out there...

One I'd recommend are Avast (free) or Nod32 (Paid) on windows and if your using Linux none unless you are paranoid in which case ClamAV (A lot of Linux users use ClamAV to make sure they don't send viruses to their family and friends.

As far as Macs goes I am unfamiliar

Zone Alarm I would recommend as a firewall

I am using Norton AntiVirus for the last 10 years without any problem. Although I slows down your PC but protects you on the other hand.

yeah Well apart from "JUST" slowing down your system , it's also nowhere near as effective as say avast free or avg free it alone Microsoft security essentials (free) or nod32 (paid).... On top of all this they have that activation BS that if you re-install too many times you have to call them to explain why your re-installing....

So excuse me for partially ranting here, but Norton sucks big time....

    Don't use Norton/Symantic EVER!.

Also half the times when I am fixing someone's computer when its it's completely balked up or wont access an internal/external Network... it's Norton screwing up

Avira is one of the best antiviruses because I am using this for a while and I don’t have any virus on my PC.

I find that Malwarebytes is a good and useful program to use - It gets updated every other day to keep you up to date with new viruses and whatnot.

    Hope this helps,
    Tim

    Hi,

Use Avast Internet Security, it's both anti virus and anti spyware.

Avast is a decent Antivirus..... for 99% of users I'd say the free version would be sufficient

Through the time I've used Norton (which again I cannot recommend), AVG (which was fine until it kept giving popups to upgrade, which I believe AVG have stopped now), Avast (would be my current recomendation for windows systems) and ClamAV (if your using Linux an are worried what you may send on to others)
