    Exclamation Cpu fan noise

when i switch on my computer sometimes (30%) the fan starts to make a noise [like its hitting something] and then it stays for 40-50seconds and then becomes less and less and becomes normal
i have opened the cabinate and seen it ... there is nothing wrong... no wires touching etc... and nothing getting in its way..
    fan is fixed correctly
its running properly even when the noise comes..
pls reply if u know anything abt this prob

I've had something similar happen before, and found that the power supply was going out on me.

Yea, this could be a sign of a faulty power supply, or maybe it's just some dust. I would try airing it out with an air spray or something.

Intermittent noise from a fan can also be a sign of a bad baring. It frequently happens with cheap computer fans. If it is that, the only way to fix it usually is to replace the fan. But before you try that, you should try cleaning the dust out of the CPU heatsink.

You might need to clean the dust from your fan. I think the noise might be more likely from the power unit.
