    Question Is this legal?

I am creating a website that has 3 other websites embedded into it using iFrames. I do not own these embedded sites, but I want users to be able to use my site to browse these external sites. Is it illegal for me to receive payment for providing this service to users? I am not screen scraping data from these sites, but simply displaying to the users the best results from these externals websites.

Any feedback or reading material is welcome, thanks!!

I am no lawyer, but I would say that it wasn't legal to do that. These companies are the ones providing the service to the users and all you are doing is re-displaying the websites.

Thanks. Do you know who I should talk to about issues like this? Would it be a computer/technical lawyer I should speak to or something?

    Thank you

I would first ask the folks who own the web sites you're planning to iframe. If they don't agree to it, they would make your life very hard regardless of whether it was technically legal or not. And if they do agree to it, then you've got a happy business relationship. You don't want to find out "if this is legal" by arguing it in front of a judge.

Yes - it is up to the owners of those sites to give permission.

If they agree to having their pages displayed that way then there is no question about whether it is legal or not.

If they do not agree then either they will block the ability to display their sites that way or if they don't know how to do that they will take other action that will probably end up costing tho OP a lot of money.

Yes as far as i knew this is an illegal activity and also it is against the law as you have registered only one website legally and you have embedded remaining websites which will not be get counted so this is an illegal activity i think so. So, I suggest you to approach the iFrames owner or Administrator or Legal Advisor and try to explain your situation and condition clearly and based on that try to convince them and try to get the permission to go ahead legally.

I read your post more than couple of times and I notice only one site of you is legal and other sites are not legal. I think you are at risk and you are not following google penalty. It is better to take a legal advice.
