    linking to asp page

I need to link to an asp page, which i thought would be very simple.

    The link is:
    http://www.karengalese.mainlinerealt...p=text&id=2217

which I copy&pasted from my browser. However, when I use that as a hyperlink, I get "Page can not be found"

I figure there is a way around this, any help?

If it makes a difference, I am trying to access that page from a linux server.

    Thanks.

That link works fine when you try to access it from that website (it's the Properties link at the top of the main page, for anyone who might not care to search). They probably have some code on their site to prevent you from accessing that page externally.

Are you trying to put copyrighted content from someone else's site on your own? I certainly hope not.

No, it's not copyrighted, and I do have permission. It is my old site. I just want the new one to point to certain parts of the old one, like that page. A friend was able to do it, using, I thought, the same link I used, but with her info.

I followed the link and got the website cannot be found error. It also says on the page I got that you need to specify an account id as part of your querystring. The link you posted doesn't have that value.
    Here's the message:
    Try the Following:

    The URL specified is invalid.
Make sure the Account ID is specified.
    .../remaxpamainline/modules/agent/agent.asp?acc=AccountID

The account specified is either invalid or does not exist.
Make sure the Account ID is not incomplete.
    .../remaxpamainline/modules/agent/agent.asp?acc=AccountID

Yes, I agree, that is the issue. however, I do have it included in the link.

In Dreamweaver the link is shown as green, except for the ID # which is blue. I assume that means something, but I have no idea what.

The account id isn't specified in the link unless it's the id value. If so it's not named correctly and that's why the page can't find it. Try this link. I highlighted in red what I changed.
    Code:
    <li><a href="http://www.karengalese.mainlinerealty.com/remaxpamainline/modules/agent/agent.asp?p=text&acc=2217">Properties</a></li>

you have to specify both id and acc in the url:
    Code:
    http://www.karengalese.mainlinerealty.com/remaxpamainline/modules/agent/agent.asp?p=text&id=2217&acc=47794
