    Lightbulb overlay modal or shadow after submit button is clicked

    Hello,

    there are many overlay display or modal dialog boxes which have black shadow in the background and form when we click on a link or button... like lightbox etc.

    I need some help with double click issue on buttons, like i dont want people to double click on submit button to avoid multiple processing to be done on the button...

    so, i was thinking of using the overlay shadow, so that, when the submit button is pressed, the entire screen gets black shadow, so the user can't click anywhere, until the post back returns to the submit button...

    my current app is built on aspx.net
    here is the link i found useful or near to me.. but was hoping some help from you.

    hopefully this will work- i tried 4-5 times from my work computer and everytime it failed...

    here it goes...

    just disable the button
    Code:
    <asp:Button ID="btn1" runat="server" OnClick="btn1_Click" />
    Code:
    protected void btn1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {
      btn1.Enabled = false;
      MakeButtonWorkAgain();
    }

    private void MakeButtonWorkAgain()
    {
      btn1.Enabled = true;
    }
    Edit: yay it posted!

    I code C hash-tag .Net
    Reference: W3C W3CWiki .Net Lib
    Validate: html CSS
    Debug: Chrome FireFox IE
