What are you trying to do that you need different session id's for different folders? Why not just add a session id for the role someone is in? We need a little more detail on the problem you're trying to solve.

When using cookie-based session state, ASP.NET 2.0 does not allocate storage for session data until the Session object is used.

so u will getting new session ID for every request request event if u are refreshing the same page.

until the session object is accessed. if u want same seesionid accross the application for a page just store any variable in session state.

and u will get the desired result.

    Invalid postback or callback argument.

    Hi,

Q: I have updatepanel with few textboxes and asp.net button. if i click the button inside updatepanel its working fine after this action i will try to click the button which is placed outside update panel then i getting this error[/COLOR].

"Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using <pages enableEventValidation="true"/> in configuration or <%@ Page EnableEventValidation="true" %> in a page. For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate from the server control that originally rendered them. If the data is valid and expected, use the ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation method in order to register the postback or callback data for validation."

    thanks & regards
    Krish
