1.) Under ASP.NET - HTML Server Controls, when cut and paste the sample, the link not work

2.)ASP.NET - Web Server Controls and ASP.NET - Validation Server Controls, not button display.

Did you read and follow the "what you need" portion of that tutorial? Make sure you do that first.

Assuming you have your web server setup properly, did you save the page with a .aspx file extension? Are you trying to run the page from your ASP.NET web server? You must do these two things if you expect even the simplest of ASP.NET programs to function properly.

    Hi,

Of course, I do follow, and I even try to display use the Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_USER_AGENT") to see if the framework is available, as below: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1) ; .NET CLR 1.1.4322). I'm using IIS, so should be compatible, I can display the simple .aspx file without include any server control, just plain text.

Do I need to do any special configuration in IIS? Pls advise....

Are you sure you put your test page in the correct directory?

In your browser window, type http://localhost/

    What shows up there?
