Files become folders in url, wierd problem

I have Joomla 2.5 installed and I also have a non-joomla folder with other stuff. In this folder something wierd is happening and I dont know where to begin. Browsing to this folder and a non-existing file makes you go to the existing "index"-file (it's not called that) but the url is all crazy.

    Example:

the url should be Gravstensinventeringen but Google has indexed the page as Gravstensinventeringen. That's how I noticed the problem. How can a file become a folder? I've never seen it before. And if I go to a non-existing url like Gravstensinventeringen I still end up on the same page. Any theories please? Is a 301 gone crazy or something? This seems to be the only directory acting this way.

    Thanks!

You’ve posted in the right section already. Now would you mind providing the contents of the .htaccess file?
