    Help with a 301 redirect

    Hi Guys,

    Wondering if anyone knows of a web.config rule that can do what I want.

    Basically I have a windows server hosted site thats losing its ecommerce section and as such will have a lot of asp product orphan pages. I found the rule below but that is for an individual page only. I don't fancy recreating that 4000+ times.

    I tried doing a folder redirect but that seems to ignore redirecting from a called url.

    I just want urls such as /shop/product.asp? etc 301 redirecting to the home page. Is there a wildcard rule that works similar to the one below that will do this?

    Many thanks

    <rule name="blog" stopProcessing="true">
    <match url="en/blog.aspx$" />
    <conditions>
    <add input="{QUERY_STRING}" pattern="Id=9" />
    </conditions>
    <action type="Redirect" url="http://www.newurl.com" redirectType="Permanent" />
    </rule>
