Can DNS only be assigned at Domain Registrar Level?

If someone wants to go to www.example.com, the nameservers for that domain are at the domain registrar.

    ns.parkingcompany.com

Is that the only point the nameservers can be assigned? Can I give domains at my registrar a different nameserver:

    ns.myservers.com

and then put "some script" on my server to send people to the:

    ns.parkingcompany.com

nameserver? I have 300+ domains parked and parking companies don't give much data on the traffic coming through. I'd like to peek at each visitor coming through before sending them to the parking company.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

DNS nameservers are always assigned at your registrar. That is how the DNS system of INTERNET works.

Also this is not a script level thing that you can change in a php script for example.
These are coded in dns zone files and other related databases.

No I don't think thats possible with parking registrars. Just an idea though, do they allow you to customise your parking page? If they do there could be a way to add analytics tracking code to the page.
