    Best apache configuration for processing application very fast

    Hi All,

    I have created PHP application which speaks to mysql for data placing & reading. now, I have 50 user who concurrently work on this application so can any one help me know what setting will help me process application very fast for users.

    I am using centos & Application is hosted in Local LAN.

    I am creating application for first time although I have taken all the measure at application level I want to cross check if any settings required at Apache/php.ini settings.

    you shoud start with unloading all modules you don't use in apache's configuration and php.ini.
    don't use .htaccess files - make everything in server's configuration instead.

    if you want to go even further, then you might want to switch to some lightweight server daemon like lighttpd.
    and if you want REALLY high performance, write your application in C and trow it in cgi-bin
    obviusly running desktop env on your server computer don't help overall performance
